Sustainability is anchored within the operations of ABN Amro. It is their starting point of doing business. 'Our headquarters are equipped with two electric cars. Our employees arrive by train and avoid the rush hours. When they come here, we have an electric vehicle ready to bring our people to their appointments downtown. It is cheap, but also efficient. Our people are very excited about this whole project.'

Case 2/11:
Ymere

We are a decisive and innovative housing corporation, running our business within the northern part of the Randstad. 'We own and manage over 82.500 houses, stores and offices, while developing social property. The profits we make due to our commercial activities, are reinvested in housing and social projects.' Ymere currently owns three electric pool cars and twelve electric pool scooters.

Case 3/11:
Hotel The Grand

Sofitel Amsterdam The Grand, which is part of Accor, has its own interpretation and expression of reducing emissions. The five-star hotel organizes several activities to create awareness of the very fact that we as inhabitants of the earth should respectfully and carefully interact with our home. The Grand has two electric scooters in order to be able to offer their guests a decent alternative for using a car.

Case 4/11:
Schiphol Group

Schiphol Group executes a strategy which is focused on improving the quality of the air while reducing emissions. Although some emissions can't be avoided, they can be reduced. After a successful pilot Schiphol Group started with four electric vehicles, a Th!nk City, a Tazzari ZERO and two Nissan Leafs.

Case 5/11:
Kennedy van der Laan

Kennedy van der Laan likes to invest in innovations and sustainable solutions. Since November 11th of 2010, they are the owners of an electric pool car, which they can for example use for driving to court. All of the employees can use the electric car, while it is charged right in front of their office.

Case 6/11:
'Green' Imtech-office

Imtech started realizing their trendsetting office in Eindhoven. The office will be the perfect example of how to be sustainable in energy usage, and reduce emmissions. Their office has a high-tech intelligent shell which is positively influencing the energy- and temperature performances.

Case 7/11:
Delta Lloyd

Delta Lloyd is expecting that its suppliers show corporate social responsibility. The current suppliers of Delta Lloyd are asked to join the discussion on how to express that vision. Besides sustainable innovations such as electric vehicles, Delta Lloyd performs extremely well on the social aspects of doing business.

Case 8/11:
Housing Federation De Alliantie

Housing Corporation De Alliantie shows ambition, even when it comes to sustainability and saving energy, states Alfred van den Bosch, CEO of Property and Development of de Alliantie. 'Sustainability is our core, it's what is at heart of our organization.' Since Januari 2011, De Alliantie is the owner of an electric pool car to reduce emission within the city.

Case 9/11:
Loyens & Loeff

Loyens & Loeff takes responsibility for extending its regular services to corporate social responsibility. This basically means that there is more than profits or financial performance to look after. Taking care of the environment, the citizens of the world and the society they inhibit is at the heart of Loyens & Loeff's business. Since February 2011 Loyens & Loeff uses an electric vehicle in order to reduce emissions.

Case 10/11:
Municipality of Amsterdam

Amsterdam wants to express itself as a healthy, clean and liveable community. The city is aiming to be the city of the future, while allocating attention and focus on current generations. Electric transportation is a way to improve air quality. By facilitating electric transportation, amongst others by developing a network of charging points, the city contributes to tomorrow's society.

Case 11/11:
Bakery Hartog

Hartog's Bakery is a famous place in Amsterdam, which goes way back to 1800. The values of the bakery are the quality and sustainability reflected in their daily routines. Since October 2010 customers of Hartog's Bakery are able to charge their electric scooter, bike or car at the charging point at their store.
